From Kevin Delaney, Wayland High School
I wanted to invite you to a forthcoming event at Wayland High that I think you and your family & friends will be interested in attending.  On Sunday afternoon October 21st, the Weston-Wayland Interfaith Action Group and our respective schools’ history departments are jointly sponsoring the viewing of a documentary film called Etched in Glass: The Legacy of Steve Ross. You may know about Mr. Ross, who was liberated from Dachau by American troops in 1945, and there met an American GI who Steve then spent his next six decades trying to locate.

It’s an absolutely incredible story, superbly told, of a fellow who went on to devote his life to service and improving the lives of his fellow citizens (including being a primary force behind the Boston Holocaust Memorial). There will also be a panel discussion which includes the filmmaker, two teachers, one of the men featured in the film, and a couple of students. It promises to be a moving experience collectively shared.
