Become a member of the Wayland Historical Society and help us preserve and share our town’s history! Membership in the Wayland Historical Society is open to all individuals and organizations. The Wayland Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) US tax-exempt nonprofit organization, your membership fee is tax deductible.

Free Public Programs
Enjoy lectures by historians, concerts, and tours of historic sites!

Educational Outreach
We partner with Wayland Schools to bring history alive for students. We invite third graders to come explore Waylands role in the American Revolution, and high school students conduct original research on local topics. We also offer special programs for youth groups like the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and home-school programs.

Museum Tours
Explore the history of the museum and objects on a guided tours of our period rooms. Whether you are interested in furniture, quilts, costumes, toys, photographs, or historic tools, we can tailor a tour to your interests.

Holiday Open House
Join us for our beloved December tradition, a festive Sunday afternoon in collaboration with the Wayland Free Public Library, Wayland Depot, and First Parish. The Wayland Garden Club decorates each period room beautifully, while talented young musicians provide entertainment. Enjoy homemade cookies and warm beverages in a setting filled with holiday cheer.
